Mentor Coaching

What happens in MentorCoaching?

The short paper on the ICF Core Competencies and also the ICF Code of Ethics are quickly read. But the proof of the pudding aka the quality of your coaching will be tasted when it comes to practical application.

It is not for nothing that the ICF credentials are considered the toughest to get in the coaching world.
How likely will you pass the ICF credential you'll be applying for when the assessors for an ICF credential will listen to your recordings?

Therefore, the main topics in my mentor coaching session will be:

  • The ICF Core Competencies: How closely are you adhering to the ICF core competencies?

  • The ICF Code of Ethics – What impact has the code on you as a coach?

  • The ACC and / or PCC credentialing processes include passing a coach-specific online exam (Coach Knowledge Assessment - CKA), once. In your MentorCoaching sessions, you will learn the format of the exam and receive tips from me to make it easier for you to pass the  exam.

"Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.

  • Purpose of Mentor Coaching:

  • Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level.

  • Mentor Coaching should take place over an extended time (three-month minimum) in a cycle that allows for listening and feedback from the Mentor Coach while also allowing reflection and practice on the part of the individual being mentored.
